The thing is,
I thought about sending you an onion
by post
or carrier pigeon.
I thought that you could find a place for it in your apartment
and it would come in handy from time to time.
But it occurred to me
that you might need a hand getting the skin off
because sometimes it takes forever.
So I figured I’d keep hold of it
until you think you need it.

Maybe I could help you peel it.
